FAQ: Transition/cross-fade is not working - why?

The possible causes are:

• “No Cross-Fade” is selected in the “Transitions” tab of the preferences window.
• “Downgrade...” is checked in the “Transitions” tab of the preferences window, and tracks don't match.
• One of the tracks has not been analysed (no bpm is showing). Ask the DJ needs the analysis results to cross-fade.
• The transition could not be pre-calculated (this calculation may take about 1 minute). This can happen with very short tracks, or if you manipulate the track's progress, or if you pause and play the track (which restarts the calculation).
• The player was manually positioned past the transition point.
