Bpm (also called tempo) is not the only criterion used to sort tracks. Tracks are matched and sorted according to the criteria chosen in the “Matching Tracks” tab of the preferences window.
If you'd like to sort tracks by tempo only, set “Tempo” to “Yes” and all other criteria to “No” in the criteria selection.
| Note: Even if you sort by tempo only, the order may sometimes appear to be wrong. Indeed, although Ask the DJ only displays a tracks' initial tempo, it always matches its final tempo with another track's initial tempo. Under these terms, some tracks may be closer than they appear. |
